Alex Koenig is a filmmaker, journalist, publicist, music supervisor, and social media specialist based in Miami. He began his career as a founding editor for popular song lyric websites Rap Genius and its sister project, Rock Genius.
Alex was an arts and entertainment columnist for The Huffington Post, contributed to the new Myspace, wrote for the award-winning music blog, Passion of the Weiss, and freelanced at many other places.
During his yearlong tenure at UCLA's filmmaking extension program, Alex picked up and honed many of the techniques of professional screenwriters and directors -- honing his craft at setting true-to-life scenes, portraying unique characters, and staging the tug of war that is drama. He furthered his education at the University of Miami, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures.
His notable creative works include two short films and a full-length screenplay. He also served as Music Supervisor and Publicist for Chateau Vato, a feature comedy film directed by Tom Musca (Stand and Deliver) starring Paul Rodriguez.
